HOW TO: Strip models

Howdy folks, it was time to update this blog, so, since I was not doing almost anything about the hobby, I'm going to present you with a step by step how to remove the paint from your miniatures, it is not a novelty but I use very easy materials to get so... Why not?

In this case we have some beakies, and a Rhino MkI ready for this job. Let's begin!

Straight outta The Wolf Time
1) Materials:
Here are the materials we are going to use, as you can see, there is nothing fancy in this list, unless you have had to buy a new toothbrush for this, the other materials can be scavenged from your house, your bathroom, or your job.

- Toothbrush.
- A jar, or something to contain the fluids.
- Glass Cleaner.
- Alcohol for medical use, the most common alcohol you can get.

2) Mixing:
In this step we are going to place the tupperware or what you have found for this, and we are going to mix the alcohol, and the glass cleaner in a 50/50 ratio.

Left: Glass Cleaner
Right: Alcohol

A nice bucket.

First the Glass Cleaner.

Now the Alcohol.
3) The bath!
Simple, put the bastards on the acid bath.

Try to put the pieces in the correct way, so that all are submerged in the liquid.

You see the bubbles?

Cover it and wait.

4) The fun part.
After a few hours, we took the toothbrush and began to peel off the layer of paint, as if it were the dead skin of a corpse.

When the paint looks weird, is ready to be removed.

Brush that ass.

Voilá! It was fun, right?
I recommend this process for plastic and metal miniatures, but I suggest not to try it with resin miniatures, because alcohol can turn your lovely minatures into gummy abominations.

So have fun and see you next, humans!
